KYIV CITY EYE CENTER

1995-2015

History of the Kiev City Eye Center begins in 1995. The founder of the Center - Zoya Veselovskaya Zoya: Corresponding member of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, MD, Professor, Head of the Department of Surgical Diseases of the Kiev Medical University of UAFM, Awarder of State Prize of the Ukraine, Honor Doctor of Ukraine.

Under her leadership in the Center were developed and introduced into clinical practice of in Ukraine and abroad a number of new methods of diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases.

Ophthalmologists of the Center published more than 190 scientific works and 3 manuals and take part in the International Scientific Project of NANS of Ukraine on the experimental study of the retina.

The more modern methods and technology of eye examination and eye treatment of cataract, glaucoma, retinal diseases, corneal pathology, refractive errors and others are used in the Center.

Today, the Center cooperates with the best clinics of Europe, USA, Israel, Great Britain and Egypt which helps to introduce the advanced technologies in clinical practice and contributes to develop the new effective methods of sight recovery.

Kyiv Medical University of UAFM, modern institution of higher education and one of the founders of new scientific-practical journal "Ophthalmology", welcome you.

Our university - one of the few Ukrainian medical private institutions. It was founded in 1992 with one aim - to achieve the highest international standards of education of its students in the field of traditional and folk medicine. Now we are successfully cooperate with prominent Ukrainian and foreign clinics to create modern condition for teaching our students. Teaching at the University is conducted in Ukrainian, Russian and English, which provides plenty opportunities for international cooperation of our students. Now KMU students are from more than 30 countries.

Starting with I year they have access to cutting-edge developments in the field of medicine through programs of academic mobility, access to international scientific libraries. At the same time, considerable attention is paid to the millennial heritage of traditional medicine: KMU spread in elective courses in 15 areas, which include homeopathy, reflexology and others.

KMU has the highest, IV-th level of accreditation of Ministry of Education of Ukraine and was included in the institute 3 catalog of medical institutions AVISENNA WHO and the International catalog on Medical Education in United. Diplomas of Kyiv Medical University recognized specialist medical advice in many countries, including the US, Canada, UK and others. The list and scope of training courses in the CMU meet the standards of medical education of the European Union in different areas and with different levels of education like as medicine, stomatology and pharmacy.
